mountain top lunch pail.

Hiking in Aspen is like entering an enchanted forest. On a quiet afternoon, the breeze through the stark white Aspen poles sounds like whispering chimes. Fantastically eery.

After some high altitude exercise, we had certainly worked up an appetite. A lunch of morel mushroom quiche + butter lettuce salad with a glass of crisp Muscatel at Ajax hit the spot…and fueled me for a day of (window) shopping amidst Aspen’s uber-luxe designer stores. I fell head over heels for the pony hair “lunch box” handbag at Paige Gamble. Damn, I should have popped for it.
