farm table proper

My mother was raised on the Scholl Dairy farm of LaPorte, Indiana. These milk bottles sent from grandpa make quite the jewelry display. How I talked mums into “lending” me her vintage Lalique pendant I will never know. Whoever said farm girls and fashion don’t mix was sorely mistaken.

Snapshots from Fourth of July dinner prepared by my cousin Janice, chef extraordinaire. Simple radishes and salmon spread have never looked so elegant….or been so tasty.

The French Breakfast radishes are in perfect company with the vintage hand painted Haviland plate. Little moments for us Francophiles. Great photo!
