By “Tracks” I am referring to the Commerce City dog track, where we placed our bets before dashing to the annual Derby party at the Denver Botanic Gardens.  I’m not much of a gambler – in fact the $5 bet was rich for my blood – and sadly, my horse did not place, but the afternoon was a ball.  Preppy guests decked in pastels, seer sucker, and paisley.  Mint juleps and pink champagne.  All amidst the luscious spring bloom of the gardens.
